I am based in Birmingham in the UK. I have been working in the homeless and addiction field for 25 years and set up and run a supported housing project for those in addiction recovery for the last 12 years. I am a 12 stepper too. I have also managed a homeless hostel, worked as a community addictions worker and worked with the homeless. I am qualified to BA Degree level, have an NVQ4 in leadership and management in health and social care and have had training in addiction counselling. My strengths are: Listening, guiding, conflict management, leadership, I can see past what is merely presented before me, patient, resilient and compassionate. My hopes are that we can see as many beat addiction as possible instead of dying from their addictive lifestyles.
